“He Will Be Remembered For His Discipline” – Peter Obi Reacts To Ogunbanjo’s Death.

The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has expressed sadness over the death of elder statesman and businessman, late Chief Christopher Oladipo Ogunbanjo.

In a statement he personally signed on Monday, Obi, on behalf of his family, commiserated with the entire Ogunbanjo family of Erunwon in Ijebu-Ode in Ogun State over the death of their patriarch.

The LP flagbearer said as a renowned businessman, the late Ogunbanjo saw the growth of many businesses that greatly impacted positively on Nigeria’s overall economic development.

According to the former Governor of Anambra State, the deceased will be remembered largely for the discipline and professionalism he brought into his business life.

He wrote: “I just read of the passing on to the glory of a very distinguished Nigerian, Pa Christopher Oladipo Ogunbajo, a corporate lawyer, businessman, and philanthropist, at the ripe old age of 99 years. On behalf of my family, I commiserate with the entire Ogunbanjo family of Erunwon, Ijebu-Ode, over his death.

Through his commercial law firm, Chris Ogunbanjo & co, he trained many successful lawyers in the Nigerian legal practice. As a renowned businessman, he saw the growth of many businesses that greatly impacted positively on Nigeria’s overall economic development.

“He will be remembered largely for the discipline and professionalism he brought into his business life. I pray God to grant his soul eternal rest and grant his immediate family, the entire Ogunbanjo family, the good people of his community, Ijebu Ode, and the entire nation the fortitude to bear his irreplaceable loss.

“With the passing of Pa Ogunbanjo, we are gradually witnessing the exit of a generation that laid the foundations of our greatness as a nation. Our present lament is the loss of the values they stood for.

May God bless these souls and endow our nation with illustrious successors in the years ahead.”
