Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze Sidelined For Six Weeks.

Nigerian-born England international, Eberechi Eze is currently battling with a hamstring injury which will keep him out of football for six weeks.

The Crystal Palace star sustained the injury in the Premier League game against Manchester United on Saturday, September 30 which ended in a 1-0 win for his team.

Recall that during the game, Crystal Palace coach Roy Hodgson had to substitute Eberechi Eze for Chris Richards in the 88th minute but it wasn’t clear then that the Nigerian-born midfielder was battling with an injury.

Before the Manchester United game, Eze has always played the entire minutes in all Palace Premier League games this season.

With his help, Palace has recorded three wins, two draws, and two defeats which placed them in the 9th spot with 11 points in 7 games.

As it stands, Eberechi Eze won’t be available for coach Roy Hodgson when Palace face Nottingham Forest this coming weekend. He will not also be available for the games against Newcastle and Tottenham after the October international break.

Eze will use the break to continue with his recuperation, hence, he won’t be available for selection when coach Gareth Southgate assembles his team for England’s friendly game against Australia on October 13. He will not also be available for the Euro 2024 qualifying game against Italy at Wembley Stadium on October 17.

Aside from Eberechi Eze, Crystal Palace are currently without 21-year-old winger Michael Olise who is also battling with a recurring hamstring problem.
